Commander Chávez: We are lowering explosive levels and leading the country for peace

On January 11, 2009, from Tur én, in the Portuguese state, Commander Hugo Chá vez, broadcast the program Al ó Presidente 324, in which he assured that the Bolivarian Revolution is a guarantee for the most humble.

“The rich, those who hate me, don't even realize it, they haven't realized that this humble peasant soldier that is me, has even been to a certain extent a guarantee of life for them and of peace for them,” he said.

In the context of media manipulation, he stressed that “we are lowering explosive levels and leading the country for peace, they don't realize it, I wish they would notice! Or they poison them a lot on television, radio, so their ability to notice is being curtailed every day.”

“They (the opposition) are the guarantee of violence, hate and death. We are a guarantee, that's what I say and I dress in humility, but it's the truth. As long as I am here and we are here, united, we are the guarantee of a great and good future. We are the guarantee of peace and development for this land and for this people,” he said.
