On November 29, 2009, the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, during the broadcast of the program Aló Presidente in the state of Lara, urged the militancy to remain united and loyal despite differences.
The Bolivarian leader referred to Antonio Aponte from the column Corn Grain, “it has a motto that I like loyalty in action, loyalty in action, loyalty, loyalty, loyalty, loyalty, loyalty, loyalty, loyalty”.
“What would happen if the counterrevolution returned to the Government in Venezuela? I repeat, all this would end, the Bolivarian Schools would end, Cuban doctors would kick them out, so they would close the CDIs, the CATs would surely privatize them to the highest bidder, the country's wealth would be privatized, PDVSA , the country's mines, everything, they would surely set up Yankee bases here.”
Likewise, he warned that the right would not allow “another revolutionary movement to emerge in the future, but never, do not allow another Chávez to emerge in Venezuela, another crazy one of those, no, Yankee bases in Venezuela, persecution, and something else that (Commander) Fidel said”.
In this regard, the Commander stated that the dictatorship imposed in Chile by (Augusto) Pinochet “would remain like a breastfed child, because they would come to fall and clean, there would be no middle ground. Those that they talk about conciliation. No, for them there is no reconciliation, they are the interests of the bourgeoisie and the empire.”
