On January 19, 2007, from the city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Commander Hugo Chávez called for pulverizing the masked strategy that seeks to demonize the Bolivarian Revolution.

“We are going to turn Chávez into a demon, simply... For what? For Brazil, for the Peoples of Latin America, in this case Brazil to reject Chávez, because he is an autocrat, a dictator, a tyrant, and thus to prevent the ideas, not of Chávez, the ideas of the Bolivarian Revolution, try to prevent these ideas from impacting the reality of our People,” said the leader of the Revolution.

He also highlighted the passion with which he defends the Bolivarian Revolution and the People, inspired by Bolivar's thinking. “Nothing and no one can prevent Latin America and its Peoples from following the path of the left to build an alternative to neoliberalism, capitalism and imperialism... That's what it's all about, simple, elementary, but you have to take a good look at it for the counterattack, this is like a war, this is like artillery,” he stressed.

“They compare me, well, to Bin Laden and to a terrorist, this is a threat when they say there in Washington, in the White House or in the Senate or in Congress; this is a democratic leader, some believe that democrats are different, they still defend the same empire, that is a threat,” he said.
