Commander Chávez: Israel became a murderous arm of the North American empire

On April 1, 2009, the Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez Frías, denounced that the Zionist State of Israel became the murderous arm of the North American empire, in the face of the massacre against the People of Palestine.

“The outrage of the State of Israel, because it is not the Jewish people; I take this opportunity to send greetings to the Jewish people, a lot of Jews live in Venezuela, we respect them, we love them, I have Jewish friends, because many Palestinians live in Venezuela with Jews, Christians, Muslims, atheists, we can live together in this world; now what is happening is that the State of Israel has unfortunately become a murderous arm of the North American empire”, he said from Doha, Qatar.

He condemned as sectors of the extreme right and the government of the United States, the same one that launched the coup against Venezuela and which ordered the bombing of Iraq, “the aggression began immediately ignoring Hamas and the sovereign will of the Palestinian people in Gaza and that's where the war began, it was the declaration of war by the empire against Palestine, they arrested even the ministers of Hamas and bombed its headquarters”.

For this reason, it reaffirmed Venezuela's solidarity with Palestine. “For the dignity of the Palestinian People and for the dignity of the Peoples of the world and today because we continue, we have broken relations with Israel and I have said so, we have no plans to re-establish relations, especially now,” he said.
