Commander Chávez calls on the middle and upper classes not to be used as cannon fodder

The Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez, during the Hello President #163, on September 07, 2003, made a direct call to the middle and upper class sectors of the country not to allow themselves to be used as “cannon fodder” by groups with subaltern interests.

“Until when are you going to let yourselves be fooled? Until when are they going to allow themselves to be manipulated by this perverse group of people? Your lives, they are not interested in anything. The lives of your children. What will interest them? They are interested in power, money above all, economic power is what interests them, they don't have any humanitarian feelings with anyone,” he said.

Chávez emphasized that the Bolivarian Government guarantees the rights, properties and tranquility of all citizens without distinction. “You take care of your family, you have your children, you have all the rights guaranteed here. Nobody is going to take anything you honestly have, your rights are equal to those of us, to those of all Venezuelans,” he said.

He also invited you as a Venezuelan, as Head of State, to follow the path of the Constitution and try to do what you want to do, while respecting it.

“This government is there to guarantee order, peace, tranquility, economic development, social development. I call them to those who rationally oppose me, and they have the right to do so, not to allow themselves to be used by perverse terrorists who are looking for the opportunity to launch the blow against Venezuela,” he said.
