This Wednesday, March 20, the Secretary General of Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (JPSUV), Grecia Colmenares, highlighted that the young people of the Homeland are preparing for a great national deployment in defense of the candidacy of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

“Today Venezuelan youth will continue on the streets, on every corner, in every community, in support of President Nicolás Maduro, convincing and moving (...) the President will be present in the voices and faces of young people (...) who are organizing to go to national deployment, to accept all our engines, because what is coming is Bolivarian anger, it is the fury of a youth who decides to be free forever by the hand of President Maduro,” Colmenares said at a JPSUV press conference from El Calvario in Caracas.

He stressed that President Maduro has always proven to be a man “of peace”, who with his strategy calls for dialogue, who knows how to listen, who knows about collective work and that he calls on all of us to contribute. He has not invited all of us to the Seven Transformations, to hold a permanent debate and to be able to bring out the best in each one of us and of us as Venezuelans, to make available the Venezuelan affirmative, the values of respect, solidarity, and work.”

In that regard, he emphasized that it is today President Maduro, who has opened the way for young people to dream big about their future. “Our president is undoubtedly Pueblo and like a worker, worker president (...) the Father of this Country who today is taking our country forward, who leads us to a frank economic recovery, who invites us to continue working for social justice and who continues to prioritize social action as the fundamental axis of the Revolution,” he said.

At the same time, he expressed support for the electoral schedule announced by the National Electoral Council (CNE). “We have seen the thousands of young people who have registered in each of the authorized points in the country, who are going to make their first vote in these elections and who speak of democracy and democratic education that we have had since school (...) we are going to continue to support the entire CNE agenda,” he said.
