The National Electoral Council (CNE), in compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Schedule, begins this Monday, March 18, until next Tuesday, April 16, the deployment at the national level to carry out the special day of registration or updating of data in the National and International Electoral Register.

To carry out this procedure, the Electoral Power, in a note published on its website, explains that it will make available to the population in the Regional Offices of the Electoral Power, the Permanent Points for Registration and/or Updating the Electoral Register.

These instances operate from 8:30am to 3:30pm, in which registrations of new voters can be processed, as well as changes of voting center, with the sole requirement of presenting an identity card even if it has expired.

Citizens will be able to process registrations as new voters, or make changes to their voting center. The only requirement that interested parties, who are in the national territory, must meet is to present the current or expired laminated identity card.

Those already registered can make changes to their data and verify that the assigned identity card number, name, fingerprints and voting center are correct.

In the process of updating data, they can also request a relocation of the voting center if necessary.
