Claudia Renfigo is the owner of the world crown in weightlifting (+Peru)

The youth athlete Claudia Renfigo (64 kg category) won the U17 world weightlifting championship in Lima, Peru, in the starting mode, lifting 89 kg (Silver Medal) and 113 kg in the Envión (Gold Medal), for a total of 202 kg that made her the owner of the world crown.

With this title, there are two gold medals won by the Venezuelan delegation in this world championship, Dionangel Vargas (61 Kg category) and Claudia Rengifo (64 Kg category).

Rengifo holds national records in its 64 kg division and is the flag bearer of the delegation, according to information published by the Ministry of People's Power for Youth and Sports.

The event organized by the International Weight Federation (IWF), which ends next Sunday, May 26, with a Creole team, made up of 14 athletes, 10 in women's and four in men's.
