Civil Protection of the state of Trujillo is constantly monitoring the rainfall recorded in the state over the past few hours, said the agency's state director, G/B José Pérez Carreño, during an interview broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

He stressed that so far no serious or significant news has been reported in the region. He also specified that there have only been landslides in certain vulnerable areas; however, the impact has been minimal thanks to preventive work to clean canals and channel streams carried out jointly by the government and local mayors.

The director of Civil Protection of Trujillo state emphasized the effectiveness of active situation rooms in the state.

In addition, he highlighted the articulation with the Peace Quadrants, platforms that allow a direct and real-time link with communities to immediately activate the General State of Emergency in the face of any contingency.

Given the weather forecast that anticipates the continuation of the rains due to the passage of tropical waves 11, 12 and 13 through the national territory, the authority urged the population to take forecasts and have at hand the numbers of authorized security agencies, mainly the single emergency line Ven-911.
