Cinemateca Nacional releases film “The Photograph” this Thursday

The room of the Museum of Fine Arts (MBA) of the National Cinematheque is preparing to receive, this Thursday, June 20, the exciting premiere of the Venezuelan film “Photography”, a work of fiction and suspense directed by Juan Manuel Álvarez.

“The Photograph” will immerse the audience in an intriguing and suspenseful plot. The story follows Gladys, a flirty woman who finds herself involved in a cruel nightmare that will challenge her value system and reveal her true nature, Venezuelan Television review.

The stellar cast is made up of Stephanie Cardone Fulop, Eduardo Bravo, Carlos Carrero, Yulizay Rada, Fran Soteldo and Ricardo Guerrero, who promise to keep spectators on the edge of their seats for the film's 18 minutes and 30 seconds long.

The director, Juan Manuel Álvarez, shared details through the Instagram account of the National Cinemateca and said that this work was inspired by the story “Un Fogonazo” by the Cuban poet Virgilio Piñera.

Álvarez also expressed his pride in being able to premiere the film in the prestigious MBA room. “Any filmmaker dreams of premiering his work there, since it has always been the premiere room. I premiered my first film there, and now I'm here again,” he said.
