CICPC reports that VP activist died in a traffic accident

Through the social network Instagram, the director of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), Douglas Rico published a statement about the death of citizen Edwin Alexander Santos Quiñónez, who died as a result of a road accident.
Below is the full text of the Communiqué:
“By virtue of a media campaign of disinformation today, regarding the death of the citizen: Edwin Alexander Santos Quiñónez, 36, political activist of the Popular Will party; the Investigations, Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps reports in a responsible and professional manner that he was located on the main road via El Nula, adjacent to Puente la Arenosa, Alberto Adriani parish, Fernández Feo municipality, Táchira state, with no vital signs as a result of a traffic accident after hitting the motorcycle he was driving against a tree.
Therefore, we reject all the false news given by some media and spokespersons, who try to manipulate and report that the National Government may be behind this regrettable event.
For this reason, we have received instructions from the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace (Mpprijp), to open an inquiry to those who are carrying out these campaigns of disinformation and lies.”
