CICPC apprehended a citizen for stealing strategic material in Yaracuy

A 27-year-old citizen was arrested by officials of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) for the theft and commercialization of strategic material in the San Felipe municipality of Yaracuy state, said the director of this detective body, commissioner general Douglas Rico.

Through a post on his Instagram account and replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency, he specified that the procedure was carried out by officials attached to the entity's San Felipe Municipal Delegation.

“The investigations allowed the hounds to determine that Castillo used skills and abilities to violate and steal cables that conduct electricity and fiber optics, for subsequent illegal commercialization for personal profit, actions that also threatened the operation of internet services in the community where he committed the crime,” Rico said.

He also explained that during the police procedure, several rolls of cable of various sizes were recovered.

The director general of the CICPC reported that the case was placed under the order of the Tenth Public Prosecutor's Office.
