This Sunday, the Church of the Divine Shepherdess was reopened after the restoration work carried out in connection with the damage caused by the seismic double.
According to the publication of the newspaper Último Noticias, the works were carried out by the Ministry of Public Works within the framework of the Venezuela Renace Plan.
The work consisted of leveling floors to ensure their stability, with the use of steel meshes as reinforcement; correction of cracks and cracks in arches, columns and in the altar area.
The walls were scarified, crimped and professional paste was applied to the chapels and interior naves. “The floors were leaded and polished, giving a special shine to the three naves.”
“The façade was painted in an ocher tone and the interior used white and fine gold touches on the columns of the altars:, the newspaper reported.
