Christmas schedule! The Wholesale Car Market is active 24 hours a day

Juneylly Arias, the Marketing and Innovation Manager of Integral Markets and Warehouses (INMERCA), reported that since November 1, the Wholesale Car Market in Caracas has been operating under Christmas hours, operating continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he indicated that the other 15 municipal markets in the capital operate from 6:00am to 6:00pm; and that all schedules can be found on Inmerca's social networks.

The official pointed out that the main items traded this holiday season are potatoes, carrots, leek garlic, paprika, garlic, chives and coriander, and hallacas leaves.

On the other hand, he specified that the Wholesale Car Market currently has 16 hectares, has more than 6 thousand active merchants, as well as more than 63 thousand vehicles that enter monthly.

In reference to the security measures adopted in the market, Arias emphasized that “every visitor can enter safely,” highlighting the implementation of more than 200 surveillance cameras, as well as the deployment of officials from the Libertador Municipal Police, Bolivarian National Police (PNB), Criminal, Scientific and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and brigades motorized.

“We have an ambulance service plus emergency brigades that respond immediately to any eventuality,” he added.
