The Venezuelan people took to the streets massively to celebrate the formal start of the Christmas festivities this first of November, in response to the call made by the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, in an atmosphere marked by family reunion and popular enthusiasm.
The holiday was attended by the national president in iconic sectors of the capital such as Paseo Los Próceres and the Warairarepano National Park for the traditional lighting of lights, an event that contrasts with the position adopted by media networks and spokespersons of the international extreme right such as NT24.
In this regard, representatives of extremism such as David Placer rejected the collective celebration, stating: “Delcy Rodríguez intends to divert attention by bringing the theme of Christmas to the first of November and tries to take refuge in Christmas celebrations so that Venezuelans forget all their tragedies.”
Faced with the narrative of bitterness promoted by the opposition sectors, Caracas families reaffirmed on the street their support for peace and national union, stressing that the Christmas spirit represents an essential space of hope, conviction and strength to move forward in the face of any adversity.
