This Monday, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Guo Jiakun, urged the United States (US) to cease using accusations against cybersecurity in order to discredit his country and assured that they will take the necessary measures to protect Beijing's legitimate rights and interests.

The Asian giant's response comes after the sanctions imposed by the US Department of the Treasury on the Chinese cybersecurity company Integrity Technology, accused of multiple incidents of computer intrusion against Americans, without evidence to prove them.

The spokesperson reiterated that he is firmly opposed to all forms of cyberattacks and that he has cracked down on such practices in accordance with the law. Integrity Technology, for its part, has rejected the accusations and sanctions, calling them unilateral and baseless.

The Chinese spokesman stressed that the actions of the United States not only harm bilateral relations, but also undermine international cooperation in the area of cybersecurity.
