The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Mao Ning, rejected the recent decision of the United States (USA) to include citizens and companies based in the Asian giant in the list of its sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Chinese government assured that it will take all necessary measures to resolutely protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies. “The United States must stop interfering in China-Iran trade and economic cooperation.”
The United States Department of the Treasury announced last Thursday that Washington imposed a fourth round of sanctions against Tehran, based on the framework of the national security memorandum and President Donald Trump's maximum pressure campaign against Iran, to prevent sales of Iranian oil.
