China launches commercial rocket with four satellites from the sea

This Wednesday, the People's Republic of China launched
a rocket into space from the waters surrounding the eastern province of Shandong,
placing a set of four satellites into its planned orbit.
The vehicle, a maritime
variant of the CERES-1 commercial rocket, took off at 16:12 (
Beijing time), as part of an operation led by the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center,
It was the 12th
flight mission of the CERES-1 series, the launch center said.
