China asked NATO not to disturb world peace

Fu Cong, permanent representative of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations (UN), said that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) aspires to expand its sphere of influence in the world at all costs and to provoke confrontation in different parts of the world through its actions.

“NATO is a regional military block, a remnant of the Cold War era, that aims to expand its sphere of influence, without stopping at anything to create falsehoods, add fuel to the fire and encourage confrontation wherever it appears,” Fu said.

During the UN Security Council's open debate on multilateral cooperation, the permanent representative stated that the Atlantic Alliance often blames others.

Regarding the Ukrainian conflict, the position of NATO, Fu Cong stressed that it is diametrically opposed to that of the international community that aspires to peace, details Sputnik.

On July 16 and 17, the sessions of the UN Security Council are held in New York, United States (USA) dedicated to multilateral cooperation and the Middle East.
