On November 21, 2007, from Urdaneta Avenue in Caracas, Commander Hugo Chávez demanded that the king of Spain respect Venezuela.
In this regard, the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution assured that “I have no conflict with Spain (...) We love Spain, we love the Spanish people and we respect Spain and its institutions”.
He assured that no one will be able to shut up “those who are determined to be free (...), there will not be a million kings who make me shut up, because I speak on behalf of the People of Venezuela, and of the poor of the earth. There will be no human force capable of silencing us, those of us who are determined to be free and to turn Venezuela into a free and independent world power.”
He specified that today our country is respected around the world and occupies a privileged place in the struggles for a new and better world, so “it is very important that you know that the salvation of the world depends in a good way on what happens in Venezuela.”
