Chávez Undefeated: Our Bolivarian Revolution Didn't Come to Betray the Popular Cause

On June 2, 2010, from the state of Carabobo, Commander Hugo Chávez reiterated that national commitment is inalienable.

In that regard, he pointed out that in the face of the economic war declared by the parasitic and stateless bourgeoisie, we took up the challenge with the indestructible force of the heroic people of Bolívar and Chávez.

He specified that for more than a century, the surrendering governments of the Fourth Republic showered privileges on that “selfish and incapable elite, which instead of planting the Fatherland dedicated itself to plundering the wealth of our land, fleeing resources equivalent to ten Marshall Plans abroad and endorsing their private debts to the Republic through slavish frauds to the Yankee empire.”

“But they were totally wrong if they thought they would bend our dignity! Our Bolivarian Revolution did not arrive to betray the workers or the popular cause, but to fulfill the glorious mission of defending sovereignty, lifting the productive economy and rebuilding the Great Homeland. With high morale and unwavering loyalty to historical-popular struggles, we say to the usual looters and their imperial masters: They will not return!” , he added.
