Commander Hugo Chávez called on the People not to be hooked by the hatred of the right and to maintain the strategic course of the Revolution without falling into provocations from the right.
“Let's not get hooked on hate, no, let's look and act with nerves of steel,” he said during his 350th Aló Presidente program, broadcast from the Miraflores Palace on January 31, 2010.
He also specified that the Government must respond proportionately to threats. “Let's not allow ourselves to be provoked, let's respond when we need to respond and in an appropriate way, especially to the magnitude of the threat.”
During the activity, the revolutionary leader explained that the adversary seeks to divert the objectives of the political process. “They provoke me every day, every day they throw provocations at me, I don't fall into provocations; you have to keep up the pace of battle,” Chávez said, stressing that the azimuth of the struggle must not be altered.
In this regard, the Commander directed the workers of the Public Media System to expand programming beyond political combat, incorporating areas such as health, education and entertainment.
