Chávez undefeated: Colombia's drug and guerrilla trafficking is supported by the US government

On July 23, 2009, Commander Hugo Chávez, from Fort Tiuna, assured that Colombia's drug trafficking and guerrilla situation is supported by the U.S. government.

“Colombia has problems with Nicaragua, Colombia has problems with Ecuador, with all its neighbors, Colombia has problems, isn't it going to have? An aggressive attitude of an aggressive state, paramilitarism is still alive, although they say they eliminated it (...) the Yankees involved there and now more, so it seems that there are no limits in Colombia,” said the leader.

In that regard, he specified that with Colombia's license for the United States to install military bases in its territory it would cause problems in Venezuela, so he added that it was necessary to “review commercial, economic and political relations with Colombia, we are obliged, we cannot keep quiet, nor can we stand idly by.”

The Commander reiterated that in the face of any aggression, “the sons of Bolívar will be willing to defend this land, this holy land, this mother earth”.
