From the Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, on September 24, 2010, the Supreme Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Commander Hugo Chávez, criticized the actions of the extremist bourgeoisie against the Homeland, for which he stated that this political sector cannot return to governing Venezuela.

“Immoral, mobsters, stateless, selling Patria is what they are, without shame it is what they are and I'm going to tell them until the last day of my life (...) They almost wiped out this country of ours, with so much wealth,” said Commander Chávez.

He recalled that the bourgeoisie put the country's wealth in the hands of the United States, and while Venezuela became “the world's first oil exporter for almost 100 years, we ended the 20th century with 60 percent poverty and misery. That's capitalism, that's how they govern, that's the efficiency they claim to be in governing. We are getting out of that misery, getting out of that poverty,” he stressed.
