Chávez on Zamora: He is one of the greatest strategists who have passed through our history

As part of the commemoration of the planting of the General of the Sovereign People , Ezequiel Zamora, from the Teresa Carreño Theater, in Caracas, Commander Hugo Chávez urged the revolutionary forces to know more about this important patriotic leader and praised his legacy of fighting for freedom.

“I invite you to get to know Ezequiel Zamora more; and not just out of intellectual or academic curiosity. No! , rather, precisely that is one of the great flaws of the traditional education system, of the traditional military education system, that we, or in which we were trained (...) an almost total disconnection with our own reality,” said Commander Chávez on January 10, 2006.

In this regard, he recalled Zamora's exploits , stressing that “he is one of the greatest strategists in our history have passed, one of the greatest political, popular and revolutionary leaders who have passed through our history”.
