Chávez on the imminent end of the empire: We are obliged to push hard to make that happen

From Havana, Cuba, on October 15, 2007, the Supreme Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Commander Hugo Chávez, confirmed that the North American empire is in decline and is approaching its total collapse.

Chávez , in line with Commander Fidel Castro's prediction , assured that this will happen in the first decades of this 21st century.

“We are obliged to push hard for that to happen, of course the circumstances are advancing and are marking, they are marking this time, as Montesquieu said: 'We have to ride the wave of events',” he said.
