On August 5, 2012, the Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez Frías, emphasized that the Venezuelan bourgeoisie always disguises itself every time there are elections to ask the people to vote.

“They disguise themselves, every time there are elections they start walking around the neighborhoods and jumping like Carlos Andrés Pérez did, but they are the same, adecos, Copeyanos, Fedecamaras, the big bourgeoisie, and now they want to present themselves as the new (...) The new? They are prehistory, we are the new; this is the new Homeland, independence is the new, the People are the new, socialism is the new,” said the Commander from the state of Carabobo.

He also recalled that unlike that bourgeoisie, the Bolivarian Revolution did invest in social plans for the People.
