On January 8, 2012, during the 376th program of Aló Presidente, Commander Hugo Chávez confirmed the fascist nature of the sectors of the extreme right of opposition in Venezuela.

He stressed that these sectors veto other opposition politicians. “Let's call rational (...) They want violence; apart from Chávez and I don't know what else. And that is one of the dramas of that opposition, and it is one of the problems that Venezuela really has, because they are capable of lending themselves to anything, they don't see that they are fascists, they are fascists,” he said.

Commander Chávez recalled that the extremists “have even said that they prefer an invasion, that what they did to Libya, for example, must be applied to Venezuela; they say so. Some even publicly, this is crazy, those are not politicians, politics is something else, the political game is something else.”
