Chávez Gigante: We are ready to contribute to our lives in the battle for the Fatherland

On September 12, 2012, in the midst of the campaign for the presidential elections, Commander Hugo Chávez urged revolutionary women to give themselves fully to the battle to achieve victory against the opponents of the right.

“I come to ask you today, patriotic women, revolutionary women, socialist women, conscious women, to dedicate yourselves, to dedicate ourselves, but completely to that perfect campaign; with a lot of intelligence, a lot of strategy, a lot of tactics, a lot of coordination,” said the Supreme Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution from the Teresa Carreño Theater.

The Commander warned that it was not an easy battle because there is an adversary playing who “has no codes of ethics and has a lot of economic power, media power and international support. We cannot, it would be a serious mistake, to underestimate the adversary. I beg you, I cry out for this, with all my strength, with all the intelligence, with all the capacity for action, for mobilization, for speech, for debate, because for us the elections are not just like for the bourgeoisie a song, or a slogan, a marketing”.

In this sense, he reiterated the call to dedicate ourselves “with that passion, with those songs, with that love, because this fight of ours is truly for a gigantic love. So great is the love for the Fatherland, how good, if it requires us one and a hundred sacrifices, we are ready to contribute to our lives in the battle for the Fatherland,” he emphasized.
