Chávez Eterno: This 21st century will be the new century of the youth of the cosmic race

“We are fighting another battle, the battle to save young people who are in danger of so many vices of capitalism, of so much imperialist poison that they have been bombing us on television, by the media since we were children,” said Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez, from the Teresa Carreño Theater, on August 12, 2008.

The Commander invited revolutionaries to save children from imperialist and capitalist poison, “let's be of the cosmic race, the youth of the cosmic race!”

“The 21st century is beginning, you can do it, take the sky by storm, just as Simon Bolivar, Francisco de Miranda, Antonio José de Sucre, Josefa Camejo, Luisa Cáceres, José Félix Ribas did, whatever it takes, make the new Homeland. This 21st century will be the new century of the youth of the cosmic race,” he said.

In that sense, he argued that we must have passion, use reason, methodical work, method, organization, responsible work, patience and perseverance.

“Constancy and more perseverance, work and more work, you know that is Bolívar's phrase, in order to have a homeland, let's not waste another minute,” he said.

Chávez insisted that the Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) must increasingly be a powerful engine for unity.

“We have to reach all the youth, to the young people who sing, to those in culture, to those who are not in games, to the athletes, to those in the neighborhood, to those in the fields, to the peasants, to the workers, to all the young people,” he said.
