Chancellor Yván Gil receives Style Copies from Serbia's Ambassador-designate

Serbia shares the Venezuelan vision of an international system in which “we are all equal and have the same rights and duties”

The ambassador appointed by the Republic of Serbia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Katarina Andrić, presented the Style Copies this Friday to the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil.

Regarding the protocol ceremony, the Chancellor shared on his account on the social network X: “We express our willingness to continue expanding the bilateral cooperation agenda and strengthen friendship and cultural exchange between our peoples.”

He indicated that Serbia shares the Venezuelan vision of an international system in which “we are all the same and have the same rights and duties.”

Gil pointed out that Venezuela is united with Serbia by historic ties of cooperation and friendship. He stressed that Serbia is a country that respects the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter and International Law, while mentioning the special affection that President Nicolás Maduro Moros has for this Balkan nation and for President Aleksandar Vucić, whom he considers to be one of the most important leaders in Europe and a great leader of his people, who does not accept blackmail or foreign interference.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Andrić pointed out that Serbia considers Venezuela to be a friendly country, which respects its national politics and internal affairs.

The meeting ended with the Ambassador's invitation to diversify bilateral relations in the areas of agriculture, oil, culture and sports, in which Serbia has outstanding experience.

Andrić's diplomatic career highlights her responsibilities in the multilateral and bilateral fields, most recently as Head of the Division of the United Nations Human Rights System and Humanitarian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia. She also served as Counselor in her country's Embassies in Argentina and Peru.
