Chancellor Gil to Marco Rubio: Obsessed and pathetic! We will continue, standing, to defeat their fantasies

The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, described this Tuesday as “obsessed and pathetic” the Secretary of State of the United States (USA), Marco Rubio, after his new hostile statements against Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela.

“Marco Rubio, obsessed and pathetic! You can't seem to sleep without thinking about Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela. Is it because, despite the hatred he exudes and their desire to do harm with blockades, sanctions and aggressions, these peoples have defeated him time and again with dignity and firmness?” , the Venezuelan foreign minister rebuked.

He pointed out that “Rubio's resentment is nothing more than the anger of a frustrated bureaucrat, who can't bear to see how sovereign nations stand up to him and break his script,” after the U.S. official accused these countries of causing the migration crisis in the region and calling them “enemies of humanity.”

“The only enemies of humanity are those who, with their machinery of war and abuse, have been sowing chaos and misery in half the world for decades. But Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela have demonstrated that they don't bend, that they don't sell, that they don't give up. And that's something that the spokesperson for the losers and lackeys can't stand, because they crash again and again against the dignity of peoples,” Gil emphasized.

The Venezuelan diplomat said that Rubio “can continue with his sick obsession”, while “here we will continue, standing, defeating his fantasies as always: with sovereignty, with resistance and with our heads held high”.
