The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, assured that the Government of the United States, an accomplice of some Venezuelan officials and businessmen in the PDVSA-Crypto corruption scheme, in the face of the investigation being carried out by the Venezuelan State, is trying to “hide ” its responsibility.
“Mr. Nichols is attempting a gross and stupid maneuver, like a ridiculous smokescreen, to hide the responsibility of the United States in the PDVSA Cripto corruption scheme, trying to protect its puppets and lackeys, in Venezuela and in the world,” he said.
Through his official account on the social network X, the foreign minister lashed the Undersecretary for the Western Hemisphere of the United States, Brian Nichols, who called for the release of some detainees in the PDVSA - Cripto case, whom he describes as political prisoners when in fact they are being prosecuted for being involved with this international corruption scheme.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs accused the U.S. government, led by Joe Biden, of being responsible for conspiracies against Venezuela, including cases of corruption in the Venezuelan state oil company.
