Chancellor Gil: The US planned terrorist attacks against officials and public facilities in the country

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, held the United States Government and its agencies responsible for “planning terrorist attacks against Venezuelan officials and public facilities.”

This was stated in his speech at the General Debate of the 79th Regular Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), in New York, where he argued that the United States uses social networks “with impunity and the full support of the White House, to promote mercenary incursions, as happened in May 2020.”

He indicated that, despite the fact that the United States denies its participation in the attacks against Venezuela, investigations “have revealed that, behind the post-electoral violence, there were several American and European mercenaries, including an active United States military, specialized in terrorist operations and destabilization.”

Gil also denounced a group of mercenaries that opened a website in this country to openly raise funds to attack Venezuela and carry out assassinations.”

“This initiative has the public support of government agencies and of U.S. parliamentarians and senators. The hypocritical oligarch narrative does not condemn such aberration,” he stressed.
