Chancellor Gil set up the 2nd Meeting of National Coordinators of the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter

The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, installed this Monday the Second Meeting of National Coordinators of the Group of Friends in Defense of the United Nations Charter.
During the installation, the Foreign Minister congratulated the initiative and the motivations for the creation of this group, whose principle is “the defense of the principles of the United Nations charter that today, I mean, are clearly threatened by a group of States that, being members of the United Nations, being founders of the United Nations, today carry out a series of hostile actions against the system itself”.
In this regard, he stressed that “for some time now this system has been threatened by countries led by the United States but named as countries of the Western Bloc that have threatened all the principles that motivated the creation of the United Nations and have threatened to impose a world based on unwritten rules, on rules that are not clear, on accommodative rules for each of them and that precisely motivated the creation of this group”.
In addition, he assured that among the West's ways of violating United Nations principles are the veto it exercises to “implement the genocide operation” and the imposition of Unilateral Coercive Measures.
