Chancellor Gil: Right wing continues to attack Venezuelan democracy and defend imperial aggressors

The People's Power Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, criticized that American “justice” judges minors as adults and that human rights defenders are silent.

The comment by the head of Foreign Affairs follows the decision of the Joe Biden administration to prosecute a 14-year-old teenager responsible for a shooting, under adult laws.

Through a message posted on his Telegram channel, the chancellor asked: Where are the defenders of the rights of children and adolescents?

Gil explained that in the Venezuelan judicial system “legal protocols are applied and adjusted to international treaties, to guarantee peace.”

He also assured that while the right wing continues to “attack Venezuelan democracy and defend imperial aggressors and transgressors,” in Venezuela the Bolivarian Government reiterates its “democratic commitment and protection of human rights, whatever they do, but without falling into their gross blackmail.”
