From the social network X, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, denounced the visit of the director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) William Joseph Burns in Guyana. The US official arrived this Thursday, March 21, in the territory, from Argentina, where he held high-level meetings with members of the government of the extreme right, Javier Milei.

From his user, he wrote “the Director of the CIA, an agency that declares itself specialized in lying, deceiving and stealing, and which has a history of death and destruction around the world, visits Guyana”.

He warned that “this is nothing more than an escalation in provocations against our country, meddling, together with the U.S. Southern Command, in the territorial controversy over Guiana Essequiba (...) The deployment of U.S. intelligence is a real threat, contrary to the spirit of the Argyle Declaration, and a sign of the perverse tentacles of Exxon Mobil, which dangerously insists on creating a dangerous situation in our Zone of Peace.”
