After the approval by the General Assembly of the
United Nations (UN) of a resolution demanding that Israel cease its occupation of Palestinian
territory, the Minister of People's
Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, criticized the position
of some countries that voted against the measure.
“It's no surprise that the governments of the United States, Israel and
Argentina voted against this measure. At present, these countries
are the leaders of the international fascist cartel that represents a serious
threat to humanity,” said the Chancellor on his Telegram channel.
He also indicated that the resolution was approved with 124 votes in
favor, 14 against, 43 abstentions and “establishes a deadline of 12 months for
compliance, based on the opinion of the International Court of
Justice on the consequences of the Israeli occupation, which is currently carrying
out a genocide in Gaza, which
will last one year in October.”
The decision was taken at the tenth
emergency special session, at which the actions of the Israeli Zionist regime
in occupied East Jerusalem and
the rest of occupied Palestine were examined.
