The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, presented, to the diplomatic corps accredited to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the characteristics that give strength to the Venezuelan electoral system.

From the Yellow House, Antonio José de Sucre, the foreign minister specified that the nation is “proud of the transformation” that has been achieved in electoral matters. “We have made progress in consolidating a solid democracy, a strong, robust democracy that is also participatory and leading; where the center of all decisions and all processes is the People.

The head of the diplomatic portfolio assured that the Venezuelan electoral system is one of the “most perfect on the face of the Earth”, and said that the entire process is automated, so it does not allow subjective intervention or manipulation of the records, “as if it happened in the past.”

With regard to the intervention of international observers, by July 28, he noted that there will be more than 635 representatives from different prestigious institutions and organizations.

This meeting with the diplomats comes one day after the foreign minister received electoral experts from the United Nations (UN) in his office to highlight the strengths of the Venezuelan electoral system.
