Within the framework of the XVII National Congress and IV International History Congress, the Fidel Castro Ruz Center and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies Rómulo Gallegos (CELARG) signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement, with the purpose of encouraging, together, the development of research, the dissemination of critical thinking and cultural promotion.

According to information from the Ministry for Culture, the agreement was signed by the director of the Fidel Castro Ruz Center, René González, and the president of CELARG, Pedro Calzadilla, at the Isaac J. Pardo Library.

They also indicated that with this they seek collaboration in activities of mutual interest, based on the ideals of the Liberator Simon Bolivar and José Martí, the most universal of all Cubans, who contribute to Latin American and Caribbean integration in all their expressions.

This approach encourages relationships of exchange, cooperation and promotion of activities that stimulate the development of joint projects, exchange of researchers and publications.

In addition, the signing of this inter-institutional document bridges the possibility of organizing conferences, seminars, workshops and other academic activities, thereby promoting the culture of Our America.

It should be noted that within the framework of the event, the cooperation agreement was also signed between the Fidel Castro Ruz Center and the Simon Bolivar Study Center, to join efforts to carry out academic and dissemination activities, the development of editorial, exhibition and audiovisual collaborations, and the promotion of activities that encourage Latin American and Caribbean integration.
