The National Book Center (CENAL) donated its collection of several copies of titles to the Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda Public Library, located in the eponymous recreation park in the east of Caracas.

CENAL carried out this action within the framework of the Manuel Vadell National Reading Plan, which promotes and encourages the habit of reading throughout the country.

In this regard, the director of the library, Alejandra Hernández, who received the donation, indicated that they have a large collection, “however, a book never hurts and the collection they donated to us is the first of FILVEN 2023 (International Book Fair of Venezuela), and they gave us some copies for our library; it's an honor for us to have those books here in our library service.”

This activity was carried out with the purpose of celebrating this January 19 the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the Generalissimo Francisco de Mirand Park, an emblematic place of recreation and recreation in Caracas, also known as Parque del Este, where the library is located.

Hernández added that the fact that the library is located in a park is beneficial, since the natural environment and its tranquility provide an ideal environment for reading and studying for children, young people and adults.

It should be noted that among the titles are Doña Bárbara, by Rómulo Gallegos; The Art of Criticism, by Domingo Alberto Rangel;
Manual of the Perfect Storyteller, by Horacio Quiroga; Essays on Poetic Art, by Edgar Allan Poe; The Theft of the Elephant, by Marck Twain, and others.
