Ceballos Ichaso: Crime rate fell by 32.4% in Venezuela compared to 2023

The Sectorial Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, AJ. Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, during the Citizen Security Council, from Ezequiel Zamora Park in Caracas, reported that the crime incidence fell 32.4% compared to 2023 in the country.

He also announced that a 23.4% reduction in crimes has been achieved in Venezuela, “which indicates that progressive progress is being made in the consolidation of peace and well-being in the country, under the action of comprehensive prevention strategies, through the Great Peace Quadrants Mission, the strengthening of all programmatic actions, to maintain the social welfare state of citizens.”

In this regard, he specified that these actions were achieved thanks to the work of the citizen security bodies, who maintain strategies in the direct fight against extortion and computer crimes, according to a press release from the MPPRIJP.

During the meeting, the authorities reviewed the guidelines for the implementation of the Safe Holy Week 2024 device, in order to provide protection for seasonal workers.

Ceballos, stressed that civil servants of citizen security bodies will be deployed throughout the national territory during the Major Week to provide an immediate response to citizens in the event of any eventuality.

The Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, also congratulated the officials who did an excellent job together in the sporting activity that took place last Sunday at the CAF Marathon.
