The Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), through the Cayapa Heroica National Plan, deployed technical approaches in the state of Sucre for the review, maintenance and reactivation of specialized equipment in the scientific, educational and public health sectors.
The conference, led by specialist staff from the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology of the state of Sucre (FUNDACITE Sucre), made it possible to restore the operability of key research and social care tools through the application of local talent and knowledge.
According to a press release, in a first intervention carried out at the facilities of the Universidad de Oriente (UDO) Nucleus of Sucre, the technologists concentrated their work on the Biology I and Biology II laboratories of the School of Sciences, covering the offices of San Luis and Nursing.
During the day, three microscopes, two pH meters and an electronic balance essential for weighing samples and reagents were fully recovered. In addition, preventive and corrective maintenance was carried out that allowed two other electronic scales to be partially repaired, extending their useful life for university internships.
On the other hand, from the Cayapa Heroica Nucleus located at the Territorial Polytechnic University of the West of the Sucre Clodosbaldo Russián State (UPTOSCR), in the parish of Santa Inés, a comprehensive day was held under the technical coordination of FUNDACITE Sucre.
