This Sunday, May 5, the Minister of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, announced that the Third International Meeting of Venezuelan Specialty Coffee 2024 will be held from 13 to 16 next June, in the Simon Bolivar Park of the La Carlota Air Base, in Caracas.

R highlighted that in these spaces there will be 100,000 coffee plants of different varieties. “The public will be able to appreciate the diversity of the coffee that is produced in our country,” he said.

During the Cultivando Patria program, broadcast on Venezolana de Televisión, he congratulated the human talent participating in the Third International Meeting of Venezuelan Specialty Coffee, which has a large group of professionals.

“They are the ones who heat the water, the ones who check the cups, check the temperature, prepare the coffee and then take it to the tasters,” he said.

Castro Soltedo said that this event brings together specialists, researchers, producers and national and international public and private institutions related to the coffee industry.

It also allows us to show the potential of Venezuelan coffee through a space for the development of that sector. “This new era of Venezuelan coffee is a reality. There is a before and an after. It's a new page in history,” he said.

In this regard, he stressed that during his recent tour in the province of Shandong, in China, the country was asked for “a first batch of roasted and packaged coffee that will be accompanied by all the necessary traceability”.

“We have tested the (international) market with our Venezuelan coffee, because what we produce here has already been announced in the provinces of China,” he stressed.
