Casa de las Américas and CELARG sign cooperation agreement

The Casa de Rómulo Gallegos (CELARG) and Casa de las Américas recently signed a cooperation agreement with the purpose of strengthening the dissemination of critical thinking and artistic expressions in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Through a publication on the social network X, the House of the Americas indicated that the main purpose of this agreement is to promote the culture of emancipation and integration between both nations.

The signed text also included plans for the exchange of experiences, joint production of editions, as well as the donation of numerous books to expand libraries.

In this regard, approximately 100 works were donated by the Latin American institution to the Isaac J. Pardo Library, which belongs to CELARG.

This subscription was carried out in the city of Havana, by the presidents Pedro Calzadilla and Abel Prieto, in addition to the presence of the Minister of Culture on the Caribbean island Elpidio Alonso, as well as the Venezuelan ambassador to Cuba, Orlando Maneiro.
