Members of seven community councils grouped in five communes of the Carayaca parish, La Guaira state, participated in the renewal of their spokespersons for the National Popular Consultation on October 18, in which socio-productive projects would also be chosen to receive direct funding.

The conference was accompanied by the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism and the director of communes in the entity, José Correa, who highlighted the importance of these processes to strengthen citizen participation and learn about the proposals of the communities.

During the deployment, the authorities visited the La Principal de Carayaca, Los Rubchos, Piedra Azul 137, Moral y Luces sectors, and the Paulino 091 community, where they delivered the community registration certificate, a requirement to participate in the consultation.

The activity was part of the actions to accompany community organizations, with the purpose of promoting self-management and facilitating the selection of initiatives that would contribute to the economic and social development of the town.
