A musical proposal dedicated to the great works of North American composers linked to Hollywood history will be offered by the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of Caracas this Sunday, November 08, at 11:00 a.m., in the spaces of the José Félix Ribas Hall of the Teresa Carreño Theater.
The concert will be under the baton of director Daniel Gil and will feature the special participation of pianist and teacher Sadao Muraki, who will add his technical performance to the repertoire selected for this Sunday event in the capital's cultural agenda.
The academic program includes the interpretation of the emblematic Cuban Overture and the famous Rhapsody in Blue by the composer George Gershwin, key pieces of the 20th century symphonic repertoire that fuse classical language with jazz influences and Caribbean rhythms.
In addition, the group will perform the Symphonic Dances of the play West Side Story, a creation by Leonard Bernstein that stands out for its rhythmic richness and its direct link with musical theater and international cinematography.
