The mayor of the Libertador municipality, Carmen Meléndez, stressed that to date more than a thousand courts have been recovered, in a joint effort between the Mayor's Office of Caracas and different organizations, for the enjoyment of all communities.

The information was provided by Meléndez, through his account on the social network X, in which he specified that at the Liceo Luis Manuel Urbaneja Achelpohl, in the parish of San Pedro, “they are happy that this #1feb inaugurated courts 607 and 608 in their facilities, recovered by @FONA_oficial in Caracas. We also deliver equipment to them.”

He announced that with the teachings of the National Anti-Drug Fund (FONA), “we also started the Mi Cancha Bella Plan to reach 100%”.

The mayor said that “the courts are spaces for sports, culture, recreation, and in this educational center we appreciate the support of their educational community, who asked us for the transformation and accompanied us throughout the process.”

For his part, the National Anti-Drug Superintendent (SUNAD), Richard López Vargas, said that with the support of FONA and the Mayor's Office of Caracas, “this dream to promote a preventive culture in reclaimed spaces, following the guidelines of the Sectorial Vice President for Public Security and Peace, AJ @ CeballosIchaso 1", came true.
