Caracas Mayor's Office launches Flavor Christmas plan in Catia and Caricuao

Residents of the parishioners of Sucre and Caricuao in the country's capital kicked off the Christmas season with bonuses, carols, bagpipes and parties from the Caracas mayor's office.

This is Christmas Day With Flavor, which seeks to bring Christmas to every corner of the city and the country, so that the happiness and prosperity of our people, of our community organized in Popular Street Economy, offers all this display of flavors, smells, culture and integration and unity with their community, according to a press release from the capital's office.

For their part, the popular street merchants of Caracas, together with the municipal government and other social movements, undertook the recovery and embellishment of a sector of the boulevard de Catia, with Christmas decorations and a crib. The activity allowed popular street vendors to offer part of typical Venezuelan cuisine, including hallacas, rolls, salads, as well as typical Venezuelan sweets. It seeks to celebrate and promote Venezuelan cultural traditions, promote unity and the enjoyment of music, gastronomy and local crafts in the city of Caracas.
