Sucre Avenue, in the parish of the same name, is progressing in its comprehensive recovery as one of the 21 prioritized road arteries in Caracas, through the daily collection of 24 tons of solid waste, said Mayor Carmen Meléndez.
The work is coordinated by the Municipal Market Corporation of Caracas (MULTIMACAS), together with neighbors and merchants, who collaborate to comply with established solid waste disposal schedules between 6:00 and 7:00 in the morning, and from 5:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon. This dynamic allows sweeping crews to keep spaces clean.
In addition, the authorities are working in coordination with Public Security agencies and environmental prosecutors to monitor critical points on the avenue. According to the report, the road artery now has 14 containers distributed in the area, which help to keep the space more tidy.
The local president called on the population to keep public spaces in good condition and highlighted the efforts of the workers. “Everyone's collaboration is essential to make our streets and avenues look better,” Meléndez said on his social networks, reiterating the importance of maintenance days.
